3rd Annual Wonders of Writing @ Adelanto Elementary

3rd Annual Wonders of Writing at Adelanto Elementary

This week we hosted our 3rd Annual Wonders of Writing Family night at Adelanto Elementary School.  This family activity is the culmination of our school wide writing focus in which students follow a process of gathering and organizing their thoughts through the use of "Thinking Maps."    The different genres of narrative stories our students create cover: science, poetry, and book reviews.  Their creative works were then published in a hard bound book, and several students were chosen to share their narratives with those attending.

It’s Back to School Night 2017 at Adelanto Elementary School!

We are excited to “kick-off” the 2017-2018 school year inviting our community out to be part of this amazing learning experience.  We had another great turn out this year working closely with our awesome PTA, county pre-school, district CNS, and Kona Ice.  It was a great opportunity to open share with our community the amazing things we are doing here at AES.

9-11 Tribute 2016

September 11, 2016 marked the 15th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks on the world trade center, the Pentagon, and Flight 93 which crashed near Shanksville, Pennsylvania.  Here at Adelanto Elementary School, to commemorate this most important event, we’ve organized our 3rd Annual special tribute to those lives lost on that fateful day in 2001.  This year, as the date of the anniversary neared, our teachers, students, and office staff worked together to make this annual event meaningful for ALL in attendance.
