Back to School Night @ Adelanto Elementary

Adelanto E.S. Back to School Night

It’s Back to School Night 2017 at Adelanto Elementary School!

We are excited to “kick-off” the 2017-2018 school year inviting our community out to be part of this amazing learning experience.  We had another great turn out this year working closely with our awesome PTA, county pre-school, district CNS, and Kona Ice.  It was a great opportunity to open share with our community the amazing things we are doing here at AES.

PBIS event @ Westside Park

Westside Park Elementary School has worked diligently to provide a safe and positive school environment for our children through the Positive Behavior Intervention System (PBIS).  This year we are being recognized at the PBIS Gold Level.  We are very proud of our students, staff and parents.  On Thursday, August 17, 2017 we celebrated our accomplishment with an assembly attended by our Superintendent, Dr.

Attention Parents of TK/K students who ride the bus:

We are in the process of implementing an additional bus procedure to ensure the safety of our  Transitional Kindergarten (TK) and Kindergarten (K) students.

If your TK/K student rides the bus, parents will be given bus pick-up passes. A pass must be shown to the bus driver at the bus drop off stop at the end of the day for the TK/K student to be released from the bus. Leaders from the District Office will be going to each bus stop from August 23 – August 31 to give the passes to the Adult of the TK/K student and to explain this new procedure.

Experiencing the Eclipse @ Morgan Kincaid

2017 Eclipse at Morgan Kincaid

Students, staff, parent volunteers and Trustee Turner from our board all enjoyed viewing the solar eclipse and participating in activities to learn more about this rare event. Teachers, Ms. Hudson and Ms. Coseboom, wore their space camp suits to demonstrate to students what the original astronauts wore in space. Activities included viewing the eclipse through specialized glasses, watching the eclipse online, drawing the different stages of the eclipse, and creating models of the eclipse.
