Halloween @ Mesa Linda

MLMS Halloween 2017

Mesa Linda Middle school got into the holiday spirit on Tuesday, October 31st. The office staff transformed into Disney Villains. Ursula, Cruella DeVille, The Queen of Hearts, Judge Claude Frollo, Captain Hook, The Evil Queen, Maleficant, Dr. Facilier, and Regina all made an appearance. The Campus Security team became Disney Heroes with Ariel, Belle, Grumpy, Jack Sparrow, Woody from Toy Story, and Hercules. Joining in on the fun were multitudes of students dressed up in costume. At lunchtime there was a costume contest and parade so all students could show off their holiday attire.

MESA Competion for Melva Davis @ UC Riverside

MESA Winners!

Congratulations to our students from Melva Davis Academy of Excellence (MDAE) for their success in the annual UC Riverside MESA (Mathematics Engineering Science Achievement) competition. Teams from schools all over the Inland Empire competed to show their skills in math-based, engineering problem solving as they built a roller coaster for a marble run. The students’ creativity and scientific skills were put to the test, and our students passed with flying colors.

Cross Country Success @ Mesa Linda Middle School

Ja'Patrick Smith Running

Mesa Linda is incredibly proud of our Cross Country Team! History has been made for our school district with a Cross Country win for Mesa Linda Middle School. Our Star 8th grade student, Ja'Patrick Smith, competed at our final cross country meet, and, after running second the entire race, pushed himself forward and took the lead with 200m to go. Ja'Patrick Smith completed the 2 mile course with the fantastic time of 11:09. He became the High Desert Athletic League Cross Country Champion and we are so proud of him and his accomplishment!
